WHAT DOES IT COST?
The city of Miami has many appealing attributes for photographers, but
first on the list is generally the light. Early-morning and late-afternoon sun-
light in this southeastern city is close to perfect, and it’s also consistent.
Adding to the allure, Miami has warm weather year-round—yet in summer,
temperatures average in the upper 80s, with high humidity.
The Sunshine State offers photographers a variety of employment opportunities, including underwater work, and, in 2009, Union Bank of Switzerland ranked Miami the richest U.S. city in terms of purchasing power.
The Magic City is also health conscious. In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked
Miami America’s Cleanest City, for its good air quality year-round, expansive green
spaces, clean drinking water, tidy streets and citywide recycling programs.
