AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-
20mm f/4. 5-5.6G VR
Ideal for DX-format DSLRs like the D7500 or D500, this
lens is a versatile wide-angle zoom with Nikon’s Vibration
Reduction technology built in. You’ll enjoy 3. 5 stops of
VR, per CIPA standards, so feel free to drop those shutter
speeds and let the light in. Autofocusing is driven by a
pulse motor for quick, quiet operation—perfect for video
work or candid portraits. Thanks to its internal focusing,
the lens won’t change size as you adjust your focus
distance. You can instantly switch from autofocusing to
manual focus simply by turning the focus ring. This lens
can focus on objects as close as 8. 6 inches away. It has a
seven-blade aperture for beautiful bokeh when shooting
wide open and stops down to f/29.

SB-5000 AF Speedlight
+ Joe McNally
The compact SB-5000 is Nikon’s flagship Speedlight. It can
be triggered optically alongside older Nikon Speedlights
or via a wireless radio when used on the D5, D500 or
D7500 with the WR -A10/R10 transceiver, which gives you
more flexibility when placing the light off camera since
it doesn’t require line of sight to work. In fact, you can
trigger the SB-5000 from up to 98 feet away, including
through walls. Since it’s a part of Nikon’s Creative Lighting
System, it plays well with older lights. You can create up
to six different groups of flashes for wireless control and
mix optically controlled flash groups with radio-controlled
ones. Thanks to a new flash cooling system, you can fire
off over 100 consecutive flashes at full power without the
risk of overheating.
You can unlock the full power of the SB-5000 with
Nikon Ambassador and lighting expert Joe McNally’s
online video course. In it, McNally walks users through
all of the flash’s key features and provides insights on
how to shoot it in both a studio setting and outdoors.
You’ll learn how to shoot basic TTL shots as well as how
to work with remote flashes to create dramatic images.
There are downloadable lighting diagrams and tips for
photographers of all skill levels.
